Wow a new year already! what happened to the time?
We have all been busy with the holidays, the horses, and a bout of the winter sniffles. So far Luca has stayed healthy (keeping our fingers crossed) and happy. We had our holiday portraits done (which I didn't get out to everyone I wanted to-my apologies). I was relieved to see I wasn't the only one who had trouble photographing an infant. They look so adorable until you grab the camera and poof: their eyes are crossed. We had a patient photographer though and Luca looks very cute in these pics.

He has now outgrown his newborn clothes (sniff, sniff) and is getting a bit long for his bassinet. This is mostly due to the fact that he wiggles and kicks his way to the top of the cradle until he smushes his head. He also has the tendency to terrify his mother by pulling the blankets over his face in his sleep. We have had a few nights of persistent sleep, God bless his little heart. We are seeing lots more smiles now, and new noises are coming out of all parts of him :o) The eyes are still a question though, altering daily between hazel, dark grey, greenish to brown...everyday's a surprise!
